According to vanguard newspaper report, some ijaws resident in Lagos and Ogun states started relocating
from the states by the weekend to the south south for fear of attack following the expiration of the ultimatum issued by the Reformed Odua Peoples Congress ROPC.
However, in a statement released by IYC spokesperson, Eric Omare, he called on ROPC and Yoruba's to let peace reign by allowing security operatives do their job in fetching out those breaching public peace. The ijaws were also dissociated from the militant group.
He further said, "we wish to warn groups and individuals not to further expose ijaws and Niger Delta communities to unnecessary tension and danger.
